As mentioned in my previous post, I am doing a part two of Dillon’s and my Las Vegas trip. For context, right after spending 4 days in the Paris Hotel in Las Vegas, we road tripped to Southern California and visited the beaches along the way. After a weekend there, we returned to Las Vegas on Sunday to spend another 4 days there, but this time at the Caesar’s Palace. We’ve really enjoyed adding in chill days at hotels throughout our hiking days.
Our Stay at Caesar’s Palace
We checked in later on Sunday, June 26th. We pretty much just settled in that night and kept it chill. The following day, we were ready for some pool time to offset the desert heat. Apparently, I heard someone say it was hotter than normal at that time in Las Vegas. So we laid out by the pool for a bit then dipped in. The water was actually really cold so it was refreshing in a super hot day.
On Tuesday, we went to the gym at the hotel. The gym at Caesar’s palace was so nice! I was very impressed! I have been doing a lot of the stationary biking lately. If you add a bit of resistance, it’s a great workout! I especially like it because it works the legs which will hopefully make me a better hiker. Just have to say, “hiking” in Florida is not the same as the other states. Florida has no mountains so you don’t really get to train with elevation (unless you are using a machine in a gym). Once you add some elevation, it becomes way more intense!
That afternoon, we weren’t really in the mood to dress up so we just ate dinner at the food court at the hotel. I also wanted to enjoy my evening in the bathtub in our hotel room. Dillon originally booked a standard room but they offered him a room upgrade for a good deal so we upgraded our room. We were there most of the time anyway so it made sense. Scroll down for pictures of our upgraded room and bathtub.
On June 29th, we went to the gym again. When you’re on a road trip, it’s so important to keep some routine such as working out 3 times a week or so. Road trips are usually for a long time, so since you’re inside a car for a long period of time, working out is great to get the blood flowing.
After my workout, there was a shop called Nectar Bath Treats that was on the way to our room. I stopped by while Dillon was still finishing his workout (he workouts out for longer than me). This place was amazing! It is a girl’s dream. Since I had a bathtub in my room, I decided to get a bath bomb and bath soak. It just makes bathing way more relaxing and fun. These bath bombs also make a great gift for a friend or family member!
That afternoon Dillon and I went to the pool for some time and then returned to our rooms to get ready for dinner. We actually did dinner at the Bellagio Hotel that night. The reason being is because the night before we really wanted to eat at the Bacchanal Buffet at our hotel but we never made a reservation and they were super busy. I was even on the waitlist on the OpenTable app and we never got an alert. It turns out they book up with reservations for almost a month in advance. So we gave up on eating there. Luckily, the Bellagio is within walking distance to Caesar’s Palace and they have a buffet there. So we did dinner at The Buffet at Bellagio. The food there was amazing! They have so many types of food for every preference and the dessert section was too good.
After a really good meal, we walked back to our hotel room and I tried out my bath bomb from Nectar Bath Treats. It was such a good day. And a very relaxing night. Overall, we didn’t go overboard with activities at our stay at Caesar’s Palace, but our intention was to relax before driving out to California to hike the national parks. It’s all about balance. We checked out the following morning and got ready for our drive to California. This time around, we hit up the national parks in Cali. I will be making a post about that soon!
