Happy Wednesday! During road-tripping, Dillon and I booked an Airbnb in Oceanside, Oregon. I fell in love with the view outside! But amidst all the nature and ruggedness, sometimes a girl just needs to play dress-up! We were in this Airbnb for a week and we really didn’t make much plans. But that didn’t stop me from putting on makeup and throwing on some heels.
Outfit Details
For this look, I was really into the monochromatic neutral look, with a flair of western. My top was from the brand NA-KD. NA-KD is an affordable brand which I love. The top I’m wearing is a beige one-shoulder top that you can style so many ways! I feel like this will be trending in the Fall. The one-shoulder look is unique! Even just wearing it with denim is enough. I wore this top in two Instagram posts already. You can see how I styled it here and here. The first post was paired with white relaxed denim for a casual look. I also wore a headband as accessory. The second most recent post (as seen in the pictures below) was styled with a faux leather skirt and platform heels.
The skirt is a caramel brown color that would fall into the darker neutrals tones. I love the belt that comes with the skirt because it just adds a nice touch to it. Because of the brown leather, it reminds me of western styles. The skirt is also pleated. Although pleated skirts are trending right now, I feel like it’s a timeless style. I actually purchased mine from an outlet store, but I linked similar styles below 🙂
My shoes were platform heels that I purchased a while back from a retail store I used to work at. I don’t wear them too often but I thought it went well with the overall monochromatic look. Platforms are good if you’re walking on flatter surfaces. Please assess where you’ll be walking because platforms are quite high and you wouldn’t want to twist an ankle! I made sure not to wear them in San Francisco for this reason. The shoe brand is called Freebird which LF Stores carried. They have tons of cool western style boots that would look amazing when doing a trip to Nashville! Maybe I’ll make a blog post about Nashville in the near future…until then, stay stylish friends:)
