Hi friend! Easter is right around the corner! Easter is such a special day for me and my family. As Christians, this is the day we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ. While I enjoy egg hunts and decorating with rabbits here and there, I don’t make this day just about that. If this is your baby’s first Easter, a good board book with the message of why we celebrate Easter is so important (even if they don’t really understand it yet!). Scroll down for cute Easter gift basket ideas for your little one!
To start, you’ll need a gift basket of course! There are so many cute ones out there! It’s nice that you can use these baskets for egg hunts, gifts, or just to store toys on a daily basis. Baskets are so versatile. Right now my baby is learning about containers, so he’s learning how to drop toys in containers like baskets. It’s so fun to watch! Anyway, below are some baskets that are super cute:
After you pick your basket, you will probably need to add some kind of filler like shredded paper bits. Here are some ideas:
After the paper filler comes the fun part…all the gifts for your little one. To keep it organized, I’m sharing ideas for plush animals, board books, toys, and accessories for your baby.
For the stuffed animals, I made a list below. Babies love stuffed animals! My baby just turned 7 months now and he smiles so big when I give him a plush animal to play with!
Next, you could add one or two board books. I’ve been loving board books lately. They are so good for language development. My baby loves to look at the pictures as well. Board books with textures are great for learning! There are so many good board books out there for baby. Some of the books below are also geared towards young toddlers. Overall, the ones I’ve listed either have an Easter or spring theme.
Now we can think about some toys to add in the Easter basket. Since we are focusing on babies in this blog post, I made of list of toys specifically for babies. Some ideas are “carrot” teethers, a sensory stacking toy, a rubber duckie for bath time fun, a wooden pull along string toy, and wooden eggs that make sounds.
Last but not least, you can finish your Easter basket with fun accessories for your baby. A light swaddle blanket is good to keep baby warm. A sun hat is important for sun protection (especially since the sun is starting to shine brighter now). Some baby sun shades because who could resist? (and for UV protection of course!). I also added a cute linen outfit for boys and a spring dress for baby girls that is great for the spring season.
I hope you guys found this post helpful. Enjoy shopping for your little ones! Wishing everyone a beautiful Easter!
