In the pictures above, I was the girl in the hot pink leggings! The whole theme for that night was 80s aerobic girl. Everyone wore different colored leggings, leg warmers, leotards, and sweatbands. This was a fun costume because when I was working as an ice girl for FL Panthers, it definitely felt like a workout on game nights! It was a blast but we had to skate fast!
If you are new around here, welcome! I used to be an ice girl for the Florida Panthers NHL team for 3 years. It was probably one of my favorite jobs. Anyway, we used to dress up leading up to Halloween (those are some photos that I still have from my time there).
The picture above was also from my time at FL Panthers. This time around, we dressed up as hippie girls. I was wearing a long-sleeve tie-dye dress with some hippie accessories, and white go go girl boots.
This look was actually from my best friend’s party. We just had a small get together and we all dressed up. I decided to be a space girl/cadet. I don’t think this exact costume is in stock anymore, but if you want a similar look, you can be an astronaut and have a helmet as an accessory. For my costume, I added on the metallic gloves and pink wig for a more complete look. If you can find metallic/silver boots instead of white, that might look even better!
I will give my bestie, Alana, full-credit for this costume idea. We were both NHL cheerleaders/ice girls so this whole idea just made sense. She wanted to do the Stanley Cup trophy and hockey player costume. I got a hold of a FL Panthers jersey to wear with over-the-knee black boots, and black shorts. I think wearing translucent black pantyhose adds a little more to the look. Also, if you can get a hold of a puck or hockey stick, that would be a great addition to this look!
Alana wore the white go go girl boots with a metallic shiny dress. She printed out the NHL logo and made a tinfoil crown for the top of the “trophy.” Genius!
