My Gender Reveal Party

Gender Reveal Party

If you keep up with me on Instagram you’ve seen that I just had a baby. While I plan to share more about my journey about postpartum and life with a new baby, I wanted reflect on my pregnancy with you guys and talk about some moments that I will never forget, like my gender reveal.

Only God knows how many children I’ll have, but for my first baby, my husband and I decided to throw a little gender reveal party. I wanted to know whether I was going to buy more boy-specific clothing or girl-specific. But I decided to keep my nursery more on the neutral side (will be sharing more on a future post).

My gender reveal was small and intimate with mainly just family. We wanted to do it outdoors because we planned to incorporate some colorful powder and confetti to the surprise, and I had no intention of making a mess in my home. Dillon loves baseball so we decided to have him throw a baseball with either blue or pink powder inside! He didn’t miss and hit the ball perfectly with the bat to release the powder. Just a tip: if you want to do something similar, it’s nice to do it on the grass because if whoever is batting misses, the ball most likely won’t break prematurely on the grass.

I was next to Dillon shooting a confetti canon because I didn’t want to just watch, but be part of the surprise. I linked some of the products that we used for the gender reveal below in case you’re interested.

Overall, it was so fun just spending time with loved ones. If you haven’t seen on my Instagram yet, we ended up having a BOY 🙂 Dillon and I were so happy because we both were hoping for a boy!
