I’ve been looking forward to visiting Napa Valley in California since the start of the road-trip. During the road-trip, Dillon and I decided to take a quick detour to Napa right after visiting San Francisco. The weather in this area is amazing in the summer! It hardly ever rains this time of year so it’s pretty much sunny every day. This calls for the perfect sundress for a day frolicking through the Napa Valley vineyards. Scroll below for how I styled this look for a day in Napa Valley.
Amazon Fashion
I have been really into Amazon Fashion lately. For starters, Prime shipping is such a perk! I mean, you find a dress you like and you need it asap for an event…Amazon is the way to go. The dress I’m wearing for Napa Valley is a floral dress that is super feminine and romantic. I thought that fit the vibe perfectly for a day wine tasting with my husband, Dillon. It made me feel like I was in France for a moment! I think every girl needs a good sundress, especially if you live in a warmer climate. Sundresses tend to be flowy and light-weight, which is perfect for a summer day.
Accessories
I styled my outfit with Target block sandals. I knew we would be walking in nature so block heels add a little elegance without being uncomfortable. Definitely don’t wear stilettos for a day at a winery. It will sink into the ground and get your heels all dirty. I also wore medium-sized hoop earrings and my bebe purse to complete the look. Although I do love a pop of color when it comes to purses, I had to pack lighter for a road-trip so nude bags tend to go with everything. Pro-tip if your traveling: aim to pack light. The more you bring, the more you have to lug around. Nude bags can match every outfit. They are versatile and nude color never goes out of style. It’s timeless.
Our Day At Two Wineries
Trefethen Family Vineyard
The first vineyard Dillon and I went to was Trefethen. They are known to produce the best chardonnay. The guy who was giving us the wine tour was so good at explaining everything. This was actually my second wine flight tasting. The first one was at Biltmore Estate in North Carolina and Dillon and I had such a great time!
Well anyway, our tour guide told us the importance of smelling the wine beforehand. Our smell and taste sense is connected. I thought that was so interesting! We tried samples from 5 different wines and started to learn what we liked and didn’t like. I enjoyed the experience and learned to appreciate the art of wine tasting!
Domaine Carneros
Domaine Carneros was a stunning winery! The building architecture was such a nice backdrop to the winery. This winery is known for their sparkling wine. We tried a sample of 4 wines and I can see why they are known for their sparkling wine. It was so nice!
Dillon and I haven’t had many chances to dress up too much while road-tripping, but moments like this calls for us to try a little harder. We managed to ask a few friendly strangers to take some pictures of us! That’s how you have to do it when you’re traveling lol. I’m so grateful for these memories. Hope this was able to inspire you guys!
